Intoductory Post

Hello out there to all those people... NOT reading my blog.

So I'm just going to give a little background information on the sitch-to-date:
1. I'm 22 years old. I've always wanted to own my own home. Always.
2. I moved down to Tucson to work on a political campaign over the summer, and just ended up... staying here. My boyfriend and I are currently in a rink-a-dink 1 bedroom apartment we got, expecting it to be only for the duration of the campaign. It's awful!!! There have been weeks where I get 0 - 2 hours of sleep a night because it's just so damn loud. And I hate it!
3. Soo... our lease expires on Feb. 28, and we wanted to rent a house. But as we started looking, we realized that for just a hundred or so extra dollars a month, we could OWN the place!!
4. So that's what we're doing.

We bought a 3 bedroom, 2 bath townhome in a really cute part of town just west of downtown Tucson. It has a backyard, a huge living room, a dining room (we're actually going to own a table!!), and I HUGE kitchen! ...Well, huge relative to our current crapass one.
We got it for $165K, and I saw on some assessor's website that it was bought in 2006 for $173K-- the guy selling it took a loss on it because he really wanted to get rid of it before he started Pharmacy school.
I'm going to be 9 minutes from work, versus the 35 I currently have to drive.

I'm excited!!!
